Haldimand Wolfpack RLFC is a family friendly community based, not for profit sports club created to promote and grow the sport of rugby league in the Haldimand County and Six Nations of the Grand River communities.

Being a new club, we have a lot of work to do and a lot of equipment to purchase. Like all non-profit organizations we rely heavily on fundraising, parent and community volunteers and sponsorship. We are currently looking for sponsorship for our 2020 season that will help us with purchasing new equipment and uniforms for our club.

Come join the 32 Mighty Wolfpups and 22 kids that have pre-registered in our Wolfpack Youth Tag Rugby program.

Our aim is to provide a fun, safe, enjoyable and inclusive environment that encourages participants of all abilities, ages and backgrounds to enjoy, learn, develop and achieve their own personal successes and milestones through the game of Rugby League.

We are planning to run two programs, the Mighty Wolfpups where the goal is to introduce as many children as possible (between the ages of 2 and 5) to the basics of ball sports in a non-contact, fun, social and affordable setting and Wolfpack Youth for children and teenagers aged 6 to 16 years (U7, U9, U12, U14 & U16), which is based on the modified version of Rugby League called Tag. The focus will be on fun and learning the basics.

The program will run on Saturday mornings from mid July until the end of September at McKinnon Park High School.

Many thanks to Angela McBride from Mark’s and Kirk Hylands of Canadian Tire in Caledonia and the Haldimand Chapter of Canadian Tire Jumpstart for allowing us last minute to set a tent at yesterday’s Jumpstart Day. A special mention to Daniel Tate and my beautiful wife Lisa who came down to help me out.

It was also great to meet a number of people from other local sports organizations including Rivercats Haldimand Girls Hockey Association, Caledonia Skating Club, Stars On Stage Dance & Performing Arts Inc.

We had passing, kicking and playing with footballs a number of parents asking questions and wanting more more information about our Mighty Wolfpups & Wolfpack Youth programs, which resulted in 8 new registrations on the day and the potential for a number more.
