Toronto Wolfpack are proud to be supporting a Full80 initiative put together by the Haldimand Wolfpack RLFC. The family-friendly, community based not-for-profit rugby club hails from rural south western Ontario and were formed earlier this year.

The club was created as a way to further the growth of rugby league in the immediate and surrounding communities of Haldimand County and Six Nations of the Grand River. With a focus on junior development, Haldimand RLFC have had a remarkable number of registrations for their inaugural season and are running programs to introduce the sport to as many new players as possible.

Wolfpack Pups and Wolfpack Youth programs, inspired by the Toronto Wolfpack, will be running on Saturday mornings from July 13th through to September 28th. Held at McKinnon Park Secondary School in Caledonia, the emphasis will be on the basics of rugby in a non-contact, fun and friendly environment.

The new organization has also partnered with Iroquois Roots Rugby, an indigenous-led program that does incredible work promoting the sport to First Nations youth throughout Ontario. The Haldimand logo reflects this partnership and was developed in conduction with local artist Artie Martin and Iroquois Roots co-founder Melanie Squire.

Toronto Wolfpack are excited to begin this journey with an ambitious addition to the ranks of rugby league that share the core values held dear by the Wolfpack since their own formation in 2017. Players and staff from the Wolfpack expect to join Haldimand RLFC at a local event this season as well as hosting the fledgling side at a playoff game.

Haldimand will be attending playoff semi-final 1 at Lamport Stadium in September as special guests, with juniors from the Club welcomed with behind-the-scenes access and the chance to mix with players and coaches.

The Wolfpack’s Full80 initiative is an innovative project that will see the transatlantic side involved with 80 diverse projects aimed at making the community healthier and stronger. The program’s primary mission is to help youth make positive change on and off the pitch by pushing themselves beyond what they think is possible and Haldimand RLFC epitomize this approach. Haldimand jerseys will feature the Full80 logo and symbolize the Toronto Wolfpack running out with them for every game.
